The #TOGETHERBAND campaign was initiated by the British sustainable lifestyle brand BOTTLETOP in cooperation with charitable organizations. Friendship bracelets in trendy colors made from upcycling material represent the 17 UN goals for sustainable development. In this way, people are involved in development issues in a creative way. 100% of the proceeds go to projects that promote the UN goals.

Statement friendship bracelet

The initiative was founded on World Earth Day 2019 by the sustainable British lifestyle brand BOTTLETOP. In collaboration with the UN Foundation, WWF-UK, Project Everyone, to.org, Global Citizen and founding partner UBS. Friendship bracelets in 17 colors represent the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and are intended to promote dialogue on development issues.

Upcycling from ocean plastic and humanium metal

Each bracelet is made from upcycled ocean plastic and a Humanium metal clasp. For every bracelet sold, 1 kg of plastic is removed from the sea, which cleanses the oceans. The metal of the Humanium clasp also consists of confiscated illegal firearms and is intended to gain a new positive purpose. The colorants used are also certified according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100. The ribbons are handcrafted by women in Nepal who receive well above average salaries.

1 billion people in dialogue

The goal is to inspire 1 billion people worldwide for the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The friendship bracelets humanize the 17 goals in a creative way, each bracelet stands for one SGD. With the purchase of one bracelet, another one is included for a friend. 100% of the proceeds go to projects that promote the UN goals.
