In order to realize her idea of responsible luxury, it was essential for Christine Marhofer not to use mined diamonds when creating her jewelry. So she founded not only mandana, but also the company Nevermined, which enables the production of high-quality lab-grown diamonds for the jewelry industry in Germany. In contrast to mined diamonds, the extraction of which is often accompanied by devastating ecological and moral problems, lab-grown diamonds are produced without exploitation of people and the environment. At Nevermined, production is 100% based on renewable energies, and the company is even working on generating most of the electricity it needs itself in the near future.
Through intensive research, the team of experts at Nevermined has succeeded in developing a process for growing diamonds of the highest purity in the laboratory. Every Nevermined diamond weighing 0,5 carats or more receives an official certificate of authenticity from renowned institutes such as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) or the International Gemological Institute (IGI). These certificates confirm that the lab-grown diamonds meet the same 4C standards (carat, color, clarity, cut) as conventional mined diamonds.

Haute Joaillerie with high ethical standards
Each piece of jewelry from mandana is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, made from recycled 750 gold (18 carat). The fine creations are lovingly made by hand under fair working conditions within Europe, more precisely in Germany and Spain. Mandana also pays attention to sustainability when it comes to packaging. After all, the jewelry is packaged in vegan jewelry cases made from Oleatex, a leather alternative made from organic waste from the olive industry. The boxes are also beautifully wrapped in ribbon made from recycled PET bottles.
Each of the mandana collections impressively embodies the brand philosophy of "Next Generation Jewellery". After all, the line consists of pieces of jewellery that represent the change to a more conscious era both in their appearance and in their production. The centrepiece of the mandana collection is a solitaire ring with an octagonal design, set with high-quality lab-grown diamonds from Nevermined. The solitaire is held in place by filigree claws. Additional diamonds are set in the ring band in a fine pavé look and ensure a glittering eye-catcher.
